It’s Day 11 on our Camino de Santiago and after 303km (that’s 188 miles to us Americans) we opted for a day of rest in the city of Burgos. A quick look on my Trip Advisor app, and I landed us a hotel with an amazing view of the cathedral and a reasonable price. (Meson del Cid, 75 Euros, Room 302.)
Burgos is a beautiful small city, full of history and great tapas bars. We stumbled on a wonderful photography exhibit at culturalCordon and learned about the archeological dig going on in the village of Atapuerca at the Museo de la Evolucion.
Washing our few clothes now, enjoying cashews and beers from the mini bar and looking forward to a solid night’s sleep. Back on the Camino again in the early morning, 30km to Hontanas.
